This has perhaps been covered before, but I haven’t been able to find any solutions.
I have done _exactly_ as it says in the Wiki under the
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/MaxiGallery#Picture_and_thumbnails_on_same_page. This works just fine, but for some reason I am not able to add any title or descriptions to the images in the manager section.
Has anyone else experienced this, and is there some way to fix it?

You need to use the &manage_target and &is_target snippet parameters to make the picture management on a separate document as you have multiple calls on a single document. See the parameters in wiki for more details.

Thanks alot for your answer. I got it sorted out straight away.
By the way. When adding customFields do I then need to manually add the fields to mySql or is that done automatically? Because when I am in the MaxiGallery manager and I try to add data to a field, I can’t get it to save. I tried deleting the MaxiGallery to get a clean start, but it didn’t add my custom fields when it recreated the table?

do you have the latest version from svn?

then, when you use the parameter &customFields=`field1,field2......` maxigallery adds the fields automatically to the table.
Dont forget to change your templates by adding the placeholders for the new added customFields.

Hmm, have done all that, but it’s still not working.
The customFields are displaying fine, both in the templates and the MaxiGallery manager, but it won’t save any data to them..

Did you check the maxigallery-table? Are the fields there after you call maxigallery with &customFields?
Yes, and they don’t appear after having called MaxiGallery which is pretty strange.
I have 2 calls on the gallery page:

[!MaxiGallery? >able=`ziestha_kids` &pictureTpl=`picture` &max_pic_size=`300` &customFields=`pris,farve` &display=`pictureview`!]
And then the call for the manager page:
[!MaxiGallery? &manage_target=`181` >able=`ziestha_kids` &managePictureTpl=`galleryCustomField` &customFields=`pris,farve` &is_target=`1`!]
I have checked and double checked all chunks and everything seems to be as it should.. *sigh*
