I’ve installed ModX and everything works fine. But when I create a template variable of type image things go weird.
When I edit a document containing that TV, the editor drops me in the directory ’/’
I cannot upload a new image there, there are no other dirs visible, and I cannot create new directories. Where does the editor take me by default? My guess would be somewhere in de assets directory, but that one is writable for my webserver.

Same problem here. Using the modx filemanager works fine. And the problem didn’t exist in TP2.1 for me.

Please make sure that the Path for your Resource browser is setup correctly. To edit these settings go to System configuration and select the Interace and Editor tab.

That is set as it should be. It is pointing to my assets/images directory. The modx logo is there, but I never get to see it in the Resource browser. The path at the top of the resource browser just shows ’/’
When I copy the Resource URL setting to my browser, I can access that directory just fine.

The resource path defaults to ’/..../assets/images/’. When I change this to ’/.../assets/’ all works fine.

The bug is that the installation does not default this to the correct location.

Same for the resource URL btw

Raymond, does this constitute a quick tweak that need to be committed to SVN?

BTW This is still an issue in TP3.1, but at least I found the fix here smiley

                  Cheers,

                  Briggsy.

                  [edit]
It now uploads images to the correct directory (/assets/images) but it inserts the path into the document as src="../../../images/image.jpg" which is wrong, as thats the same as "images/image.jpg" not "assets/images/image.jpg" as it should be.

If I go back to image properties and set URL to assets/images/image.jpg it works fine. However this isn’t ideal as its double handling, and some of the people who will upload content will get confussed by this smiley

                  Any suggestions?
