Can I do this with WayFinder?

Hi,

I’m using WayFinder and it’s great.

I have a page on my site: Soccer(PageID = 53) and I’m currently listing all its children pages.

<div id="subnav">

[[Wayfinder? &startId=`53` &showDescription=`1`&level=`1`]]

</div> 

However, I’d like to include Soccer as a list item on this page along with the rest.
So it’d be: Soccer | Teams | Fixtures

Can I do this with WayFinder?

using &displayStart should allow you to do this.

Can I ask where you are that you’re doing a site which includes soccer?? Just curious

OK, I’m now using:

<div id="subnav">

[[Wayfinder? &displayStart=`53`&startId=`53` &showDescription=`1`&level=`1`]]

</div> 

But unfortunately it adds Soccer as a <h2 class="active">.... rather than a <li><a href=.... along with the rest.


Am I doing something wrong?

You could setting &startItemTpl and giving a template like this:
<ul>
<li>[+wf.linktext+]</li
>[+wf.wrapper+]
</li>

Then also &innerTpl of just:

[+wf.wrapper+]

This shouldn’t need the UL tag as that given by the startItemTpl.

I haven’t tested so you may need to play around with the different templates.

I create a template called ’navigation’ and use this:

<ul>

<li>[+wf.linktext+]</li

>[+wf.wrapper+]

</li>

I then also create a template called ’wrapper’ and have this:

[+wf.wrapper+]

Then in my Wayfinder statement I use:

<div id="subnav">

[[Wayfinder? &startItemTpl=`navigation`&innerTpl=`wrapper`&displayStart=`53`&startId=`53` &showDescription=`1`&level=`1`]]

</div> 

Is this correct?

Should work, thing that may cause a prob is at root level not having a <ul>. But this should be fine.

I have tried this, but unfortunately it doesn’t display Soccer at all in the list.

Any ideas?

When you say you are creating a template for navigation and wrapper, are you putting this code in a chunk or in an actual template. It should be a chunk named navigation and wrapper
