2 wayfinders on one page, wrong one on top

    hi there,
    i’m using wayfinder for a sitemap page, it can be seen at http://www.outbackstores.com.au/staging/sitemap.html [have only checked on a mac so far so hoping it won’t be freaking out when i check on a pc]. if you roll over the main nav you’ll see you can see the sitemap info showing through from under it, only i’d like the main nav to be on the top level. i have tried looking in the forum for a similar issue only if i look for ’level’ it brings results about how many levels in the nav...
    any ideas? thanks very much.

      It think what you need is the CSS-property z-index.

        That’s because the two divs containing your menus have the same z-index.
        .menu {
font-family:arial,sans-serif;
margin:0pt;
position:relative;
width:870px;
z-index:100;
}

.new {
font-family:arial,sans-serif;
margin:0pt;
position:relative;
width:510px;
z-index:100;
}

        Change the z-index of .menu to 101 or higher and it will work.

              oh wow, that’s so nice of you. people have been so kind helping me i’d be stoked to be able to pass something along. i only just got your msg and am about to race out the door, will do it first thing in the morning [for me that’s a bit over half a day away]. is that ok with you? would prefer to do it properly rather than rush it. and is it mainly the sitemap page that you’re after? laugh

                I have all the time, and yes I only need the sitemap ’template’ to use it for my own grin

                  the css i used is located at http://www.outbackstores.com.au/staging/css/basic_dd2.css

                  the wayfinder call in the sitemap template is:
                  [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`3` &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer` &innerTpl=`cssplay_inner` &rowTpl=`cssplay_row` &outerClass=`new` &cssTpl=`cssplay_basicdd2`]]

                  cssplay_outer chunk is:
                  <div[+wf.classes+]>
                  <ul>
                  [+wf.wrapper+]
                  </ul>
                  </div>

                  cssplay_inner chunk is:
                  <ul>
                  [+wf.wrapper+]
                  </ul>

                  cssplay_row chunk is:
                  <li[+wf.classes+]><a href="[+wf.link+]" title="[+wf.title+]">[+wf.linktext+]</a>[+wf.wrapper+]</li>

                  i think that’s covered everything i used. i’m not really too good at understanding what everything does, so you might find you don’t even need some of the stuff i’ve just pointed you to. i’ll check back again to see if you have any questions or if i’ve missed anything. good luck!

                      my pleasure. you might want to check it, i’m still on a big learning curve with menus and not really sure what i’m doing. particularly worth checking it looks ok in ie6 as i’ve found my main nav doesnt so might be a repeated thing i’ve done wrong. fingers crossed it’s ok for you though smiley
