Brief Description:
Use this if you want to restrict users to uploading TV images and files to something like /assets/images/id/392/, where 392 is the ID of the current document being edited. (Also works with /assets/files.)

I haven’t tried it but sounds good to me. Could this be extended a bit to create a folder for a particular user and only that user can access the folder? I wanted to create a editable page for users and allow them to have access to uploading to a folder that was only for that document. I want the folder created automatically rather than through ftp. Is this possible?

From the description, this plugin seems to be EXTREMELY useful. Yet it doesn’t work as expected on my machine (modx 0.9.6.3). Right now only this plugin has been installed. No other non-native stuff to mess around with its functionality.

Problem description:

I open a new document, enter thze tinymce edit area and push the button for insert image.
Next i push the icon in the upper left corner to open the file manager.

Now I can see the images directory with a new folder "id" and within I find another folder with the id of the current document. Ok, BUT shouldn’t the file manager open in the id="1" folder right away? Also I can open up and down in the image directory and upload images to any desired folder. This is exactly not What I want to have.

This is what I did to integrate the plugin

Set permissions for frmfolders.html and browser.html to the number of the beast...

Still wrong

Copied what’s in between <<<EOT and EOT; and paste it right
before the </head> in manager/media/browser/mcpuk/browser.html
. Then turned $autofix to false.

Still wrong.

Also I have noticed, that the folders in file manager sometimes appear twice. There is still only one folder, but I can see them two times. Strange...

Any ideas what to do?

It only works for Image/File TVs, not the Tiny MCE / MCPuck browser.

Shoot, I hadn’t been getting notified on this thread. Sorry about that.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to figure out why it sometimes appears twice. You’re right that it’s super annoying, but I tried everything I could think of when I was working on it and I couldn’t get a solution. Working with the file browser is super annoying to begin with, and I wasn’t able to figure out a consistent way to solve the problem.

No... it doesn’t work with the "Resources -> Manage Files". It does work with the MCPUK file browser that is used for file and image TVs, though I’m not sure whether or not that’s the same that’s used in TinyMCE or FCKeditor or whatnot (as I force all my clients to use Textile; no RTEs).

so is it possible to use this event in order to write plugin which automatically uploading file in already created directory by your plugin and inserts it in tv?

and if it’s possible, maybe just delete uploaded file or image every time when tv button is clicked? So duplication will not be possible.
If manager want to change image, he is deleting old.
