Brief Description:
MODxFS lets Unix users with FUSE mount MODx databases as filesystems. This means you can directly edit Chunks, Pages, Snippets, and Templates with your preferred HTML/PHP editor.

I’m using Xandros 4.0 which is a debian based distro.
The configure command bombed for me with "configure: error: Please install pthreads library first."
However, it looks like I do have the pthread library installed. I’m not a genius with this stuff, but these are both on my system:
/lib/lsb/libpthread-2.3.5.so
/lib/tls/libpthread-0.60.so
This looks like a lovely idea - I hope I can get it working.

This message is confusing - it’s actually caused by not having the right mysqlclient-dev package installed. We don’t use Xandros, so we don’t know what exact package is required on your system, but try to do some digging around. We’ve found that it happens when configure tries to build its MySQL test and fails. On Ubuntu, the libmysqlclient15-dev fixes this issue. (See INSTALL)

I have it working now. At first take, it seems to be working fine under the Zend Development Environment v5.5.
I am not sure I understand the category subfolders, because they all contain the same items. Does it matter under which category one opens a "file"?

Looks like category handling is "sub-perfect". =) We’ll look at that this week. FYI, there’s a new version that fixes a bug in file extension handling. If you have a chunk named something like mychunk.tpl, version 0.2 will fix how MODxFS displays it to programs.
