    Hi,
    I just upgraded from MODx 1.0.2 to 1.0.5 and from Easy 2 Gallery E2G-1.4.0-rc3 to E2G-1.4.0-rc4. Basically all works fine except that Easy 2 Gallery wont display the navigation elements anymore when clicking on a thumb. I checked the config (Thumbs --> Previous/Up/Next Navigation) and the feature is enabled. I also tried to check every JS Library - the navigation is missing at all.
    Could someone help me out?

    thanks Mike

        Hi,
        sure - you can have a look at http://www.iow.at/design-test.html, scroll down the page to the gallery (Currently configured: shadowbox). You can find the backend settings in the screenshots. Does it make sense to give you a temporary manager account?

        (I think this is relating to paginated thumbnails only?)

        (It seems that the box dimensions are also ignored?)

        Please tell me if you need more information.

        Thanks Mike

          Live or localhost?
          1.4.0 RC3 and 1.4.0 RC4 have different folders structure.
          Did you overwrite or rename the old one? (that’s include the libs/ folder)

          Try these:
          1. save the config. check, ok?
          2. if not, check your modx’s and apache’s error logs. if you get something that is related to easy 2 gallery, post back again.

            Hi,

            it’s a live system.
            1) I tried to delete the assets/libs/ and the modules/easy2/ folder and copied it again from the source file. I also gave 0777 to all files and folders to ensure that there’s no permission problem. No success.
            2) I tried to delete all (tables & files) to see if a fresh installation will do the trick. No success.
            3) I checked the logs of MODx and Apache, both doesn’t tell me more. My system is running on hosted system, I think the Apache log represents just the access log and not the error log because I didn’t find any errors in the entire log of the last 2 days. I also forced an internal server error with an invalid entry in the .htaccess - no error was logged.

            Well, I don’t know what to check more...

            Mike

            Edit: With debug enabled (in the e2g Module) I get the following messages:
            Error 8: Undefined variable: php_errormsg
            File: /home/ha000662/www/home/manager/processors/execute_module.processor.php Line:117

            Error 2: set_time_limit() [function.set-time-limit]: Cannot set time limit in safe mode
            File: /home/ha000662/www/home/assets/modules/easy2/includes/classes/e2g.public.class.php Line:30

              your server is running in safe mode.
              that’s a serious obstacle for the gallery management, because the image process will always take some time.
              you can disable the option by disabling that set_time_limit at this line.

              I have the develop version checking that option first.
              So far that version is stable but on hold of the publishing because I’m finishing the plugin part.

              now,
              check your config, and compare them with these default directive of the templates:

              ’css’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/style_css3.css’,
              ’dir_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/directory_1.htm’,
              ’jsdisabled_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/jsdisabled.htm’,
              ’page_comments_row_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/page_comments_row.htm’,
              ’page_comments_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/page_comments.htm’,
              ’page_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/page_1.htm’,
              ’page_tpl_css’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/page.css’,
              ’rand_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/random_thumbnail_1.htm’,
              ’ss_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/slideshow.htm’,
              ’thumb_tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/thumbnail_1.htm’,
              ’tpl’ => ’assets/modules/easy2/templates/default/gallery_1.htm’,
              This default settings are store in the assets/modules/easy2/includes/configs/default.config.easy2gallery.php

                Thanks for your reply!
                Trying to get rid of safe_mode but as I said it’s a hosted system, so don’t know whether my provider would allow disabling safe_mode - but I keep trying.
                I disabled the line set_time_limit at line 30 in e2g.public.class.php - so the message relating to set_time_limit is gone.
                I compared the settings you told me and they are exactly the same.
                The problem is still the same...

                Could really safe_mode be responsible for such behavior?

                    hi again,

                    so, now I moved the complete installation to another Server (WAMP) the one before ran on Linux.
                    It’s still the same problem!

                    The first time I opened the module in the manager I get some errors (debug is still on):

                    Once I enter any menu the messages disappear except one:
                    Error 8: Undefined variable: php_errormsg
                    File: D:\wwwroot\xampp\htdocs\customer_iow\manager\processors\execute_module.processor.php Line:117

                    On this server (http://iow.amweb.at/design-test.html) safe_mode is definitely off and is running PHP Version 5.2.6

                    I also checked the apache’s error log - nothing serious or relating to e2g.

                    I really got stuck now... any ideas left?

                      Ignore that debug warning.

                      What do you mean by ’moved the complete installation’ ?
                      Did you try another test on a fresh install modx and easy 2 gallery 1.4.0 rc4 ?

                      I feel that some files are missing on your overwritting.
                      Or part of the libs/ libraries.
