At this moment (0.9.6), which "helpful Ajax-enabled tools" provides MODxCMS, as stated at http://modxcms.com/learn/solutions/ajax-cms.html? I only know about AjaxSearch snippet. Is there anything else "ajaxized" in MODx?

I mean, for example, is it possible to do something similar to what it is explained at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm, only using standard MODx pre-built components and/or add-ons? In fact, in another previous post (http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,1919.msg13655.html#msg13655) it is said that that kind of feature is already enabled at MODx. Where in the current MODx documentation is it explained?

Sorry if this question is too easy, but it is an interesting subject for me.

    Thank you in advance.

Like Walt Disney says in your signature: If you can dream it, you can do it.

I don’t know of any tutorials specifically on Ajax content loading in MODx, but I know they’ve been done on numerous occassions and mention in the forums too. Just found one example that might be a good starting point for you:

Ah, on reading it again, I see that you are looking for more AJAX-using snippets already available. There are some; what, exactly, are you looking for?

Well, I just was looking for other "ajax" features already implemented in MODx, in general, as the only most famous example I know is Ajax-Search.

Particularly, I was thinking on things like the ones all you have referenced in the previous answers, I mean, the ability to show some selected content within one zone of one page (say, within a DIV container) without having to reload the whole page.

For me, it can be very interesting in one concrete case: showing the results of a "Ditto" query in a "dynamic" table. I mean, I put a simple form in my page so that the user can select some records of a given "table" or "list" (say, the list of all the publications for a group of authors). The records are then shown (with Ajax, without reloading the whole page, but the URL DOES change), and the user can also sort or filter (or make other similar changes) on his/her selection in an Ajaxized way (also the URL should change as the changes are taking place). IS THAT POSSIBLE with MODx, or should I build my own "snippet" or code in order to do it??

I was looking for not only that kind of features, but whatever it is "Ajaxized" in MODx. Just to know it.

This is exactly what I’m looking for, too.
For example, Wayfinder could load a page using ajax instead reload the whole page, and other things like that.
I would really like to know if there is "snnipets" or "chunks" or what else that can do that. I couldn’t find here.
                Thank you all.

Just put your Ditto calls (or Wayfinder, or whatever) on a page with an empty template and call it from your Javascript, done.

Thank you for the hint. When starting with MODx, it is a bit difficult to realize of this kind of "ways to do things".

Anyway, I think we are looking for snippets that perform the dirty work, I mean, not to write any Javascript.

This is an example of what I am looking for:

                      http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lista_de_Wikipedias#100_000.2B_articles

There you can see a table of results and a little icon into each header cell, so that if you click that little icon, the entire table is sorted (ascending or descending) by that column, in an Ajax way, that is, without reloading the entire page.

What I am looking is something like that, and more.

First, I would like to add some controls or a little form (maybe with a droplist control, or a little search box) in order to select the content to be shown, in a dynamical/Ajax way (I mean, if the user makes a new selection, the content shown below changes, but the entire page is not reloaded).

Afterwards, I would like to add some controls in order to control the way the information is shown (like in the example of Wikipedia above).

So, I think there are "two levels" in Ajaxizing my content: selecting the content to be shown, and sorting or changing the appearance of that content which is already being shown.

Sorry for insisting but, is there any standard way to perform this within MODx??
