Hi all
I am using wayfinder for my topmenu, as I like to have an active state here as well.
Now I want to use wayfinder to dynamically create my left menu, so I would have both a topmenu and a leftmenu on my subpages if indeed subpages exist to the topmenu.
This is what I use for my topmenu as of now:
[[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`1`]]
But how would I wayfinder for my leftmenu?
I wish to have it like this:
If a topmenu has a subpage it should come as an output in my leftmenu, and not as a dropdown or anything of that kind.
So could the leftmenu have something like this:
[[Wayfinder? &startId=`1` &level=`2`]]
Or how?

If I’m understanding you correctly, it’s not possible since there’s no way for the left menu to know where the mouse is on the top menu. The only way to do what you describe is with some custom javascript.
If you want the left menu to show the children of the current page, though, you can use &startId=`[*id*]`
Hi Bob
Ok, to make it clearer what I would like to have:
On my subpages I wish to have two menues:
1) toplevel menu that has 4 pages in it
2) If I am on the 3rd toplevel menu, for instance called "About me" and this page has submenus then I would like to have these placed in the leftmenu
So if I have this
TOPMENU (Home, References, About me, Contact)
The page "About me" has three subpages and I would like these pages to be presented as the leftmenu.
Is this possible?

You most likely already have ultimateparent installed on your MODx install. If not, just get from the addons section.

If I’m understanding correctly, I don’t think he needs UltimateParent since he just wants to show the children of the current document. If so, this should do what he wants:
[[Wayfinder &startId=`[*id*]` ]]
