    Here you’ll find the most updated version of the FCKEditor plugin for MODx. In preparation of future updates to MODx, I’m offering FCKEditor as a separate download to facilitate possible changes to the code. Here’s what’s changed since the release of MODx v0.9.1 and v0.9.2:

    v2.3
    * Updated FCKEditor to v2.3.
    * Added the FitWindow button to the Standard and Advanced toolbars.
    * Added Brazilian Portuguese language file per request.

    v2.2b
    * Updated German language file with German translation.

    v2.2a
    * Updated FCKEditor to v2.2.
    * Added language selection based on current language selected in the manager. Front-end language selection will be available with the release of MODx v0.9.5.

    Also, with the 2.2a release, I’ll need help in translating the language files. If you look in the lang directory for the plugin, you’ll see the language files. These are laid out the same as they are in MODx but are specific to the plugin. If you update one of these files, please send me a copy so I can update the distribution. Thanks a bunch! smiley

      See german language file attached.

      Also I extended the english version with the link to the Javascript codes at the FCK homepage for the toolbar settings. I already searched them a while ago and find it handy to have it in the manager wink

      edit: Couldn´t upload german.inc.php.txt because "there is already an attachment with this name"?! In another thread? Strange. So rename them in german.inc.php and english.inc.php

        Thanks Marc! Much appreciated! As soon as I find out how to set the encoding of the file in my editor I’ll update the distro and upload it back to this post. Again...many thanks! smiley

          Hi Jeff, just wondering: How is the encoding displayed?

            The encoding of the language files isn’t something you "see"...it’s just how the file is saved.

              Thanks Jeff for keeping the plugin updated !

              About text files encoding, I find PS Pad (Windows) pretty handy to handle character encoding smiley

                Thanks for the tip, David! I’ll keep that program in mind! If I can get Eclipse to handle all the encoding for me then I’ll be ok. If not, then a program like that will do wonders for me. smiley

                  Jeff, Eclipse in fact can manage both file encodings when creating new files or editing existing ones (i.e. translate automatically to preferred encoding), as well as managing line endings (i.e. don’t translate, force to Unix, Windows, or Mac style).

                    It’s got the annoying habit of having the Link dialog box pop up behind the top window, so you have to go click on Window, then the dialog window to get it to the front. I know this happened before, very early on, but I can’t for the life of me remember how it was fixed, and I’m not that much of a Javascript programmer to be able to find it on my own.

                      Please find attached the brazillian portuguese language file. I just translated the definitions and didn’t change any line of the file.

                      cheers!

                      Renato.
