Early Confusion and Suggestions About eForm - The Electronic form Snippet

Sorry if I’m kidna late, but this is a snippet to send out a form to sombody else email, and let them fill up the form and submit it back to our website, is that through?

I’m not feeling really well right now, so any clarification will be AWESOME!

I’ll try that as soon as I have a few minutes... it makes me think it would be nice to have a donation link available in the snippet repository when it comes out.

This kind of thing must have taken time to develop !

This looks very nice. I’ll try to download it and play around with it tonight.

At first look there seems to be a lot of overlap between this snippet and one that I developed a while ago and have been working on (http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,1796.0.html). The FormProcessor snippet saves data to the database and emails but doesn’t have nearly the emailing features of your form. I’d like to write a reporting module for my snippet so that submissions that are saved in the database could be viewed, printed and exported.

Would you be interested in working to merge the features from both of these snippets into one? I’d hate to see a lot of duplication of work going on and would rather have a standard, more powerful form processor for MODx as I tihnk this is a feature that a lot of people can use.

Raymond, do you use javascript to validate the page? We have a discussion to standardize all the form validation using javascript. So for snippet coder, we have some sort of guidelines to validate out forms. I thnk you know this better. So if we all use the same javascript, it will reduce the load of a page basically.

There is a great formassembly.com that support form validation, modification, addition, and etc. I believe you have a better solution, so any reply to this will be awesome.
