1.05 update : No more Tinymce - Help!

Hi,

It’s a king of emergency as after upgradting 1.04 to 1.05 (coming with tinymce 3.3.9.2) There’s no more rte. It can be choosen from the tool/config mabager page, but editing any document, the content field as no editor (dropdown list shows Tinymce)

I tried to reinstall a couple of time, even deleted the tinymce /plugin/ folders, tried also to upload a previous version (in extra there’s nothing else than tiny 3241) and install it... nothing works.

Really need help.

1. Make sure the tinymce folder is uploaded correctly into assets/plugins. The best way is to zip it, upload the zip file, and unzip it in place (you may need to use your domain control panel’s file manager for this). There are a lot of small .js files, and uploading them all via FTP can result in one or two of them getting corrupted, or only a partial upload.

2. Make sure the plugin is linking to the correct version of the files in assets/plugins/tinymce. An upgrade has two versions of the plugin, the old one should be disabled and the new one enabled.

3. Make sure the plugin is active.

4. Make sure the site Configuration has it enabled.

5. Make sure your Manager user has it enabled.

Try clearing your browser cache. The browser can cache .js files and be stubborn about insisting on using the cached version.

Open the plugin code, check the path to the tiny’s js file

Is not a dedicated or virtual hosting but a shared one; Following your advises I used an ftp tools they offered including an unzip function (instead of my Zilla)

I did it with the ver.3241 tiny archive found in the Extra repository while the old tiny folders were renamed and all plugin disabled.

then I re run the Tiny install and every thing went right.
BUT coming back to the manager, even if the freshly installed tiny plugin appears in the list, and is enabled, going into the site configuration panel, in Tools/configuration/ interface and functionality / Wisiwyg editor

the dropdown list has now only "none" and no more Tinymce choice (I had it when I started this post).

Is there a way to clean this off, or find a different archive (where’ the one coming with Evo 1.05 updt ??)

Wich file for ’plugin code’ R u talking about ?

I just reupdated the whole modx (1.05 because this is supposed to update Tinymce too).

I still dont have any rte choice in config panel of manager ! cause no tiny plugin has beeb activated into the plugin list.
If I enable the corresponding one, choice of rte is back with TinyMCE but no RTE is run when editing a page.

Have you checked that all of the Events are set, on TinyMCE’s System Events tab:
OnRichTextEditorInit
OnRichTextEditorRegister
OnInterfaceSettingsRender

Also are you seeing any javascript errors when TMCE is supposed to show up but doesn’t?

All event are ok

Looking at Firebug console while editing a page, switching from no Rte to Tiny for the content does not trigger any error.

Could you upload the source html of the frame that’s supposed to have TMCE in it .. to something like http://pastebin.com/
(Protecting anything you don’t want to make public of course.)
