[Revolution-Component] VisualTeams - eSport team management

Because my eSport community (team-visualize.net) is in need of a new website, we decide to use ModX Revolution.
For this website we also need a component to manage the teams.

The component is called "VisualTeams".

The project is just starting, and it can take a while since it is my first modx component.


The only things I have for now is a database idea on mindmeister and a github project: http://github.com/MaZZie/VisualTeams

Things the system needs to do:

• Creating a team (registered members can do this by themselves)
• Manage team members
• Manage results (including screenshots)
• Showing the ranking of different leagues (e.g. ESL / Clanbase)
• Custom templates for the teams
• Team news
• players blog

If you are in need for this kind of component and/or have some experience with component building, I can use some help with the startup. (where to start?)
Me and my community would be very thankful.

Revo doesn’t have "modules" in the same way Evo does; instead they are "CMP", Custom Manager Pages. Quite different from Evo’s modules.

Thanks, I changed it.

For now it’s possable to create and edit a team trough the backend. Also you can add and remove players.
Screencast will follow later this week to give you a better idea of VisualTeams.

Would be great to make use of lexicons for multi language availability.
Think it could be used in some other contexts than just online gaming...

There are some lexicons fields in the code.
On the PL release of this component the lexicons are available.
