    Hey guys,

As my first component ever, I’ve chosen to keep it simple. And how much simpler could it get than a "Call Me Back" component. The main intention behind this component is, to give a business/company website the means to place a small form on their website in which a client can enter their number and request a conference call of sorts. Now, that can be all up to you which type of call this would be, as you decide the text around the form.

This component has one specific use, which will be demonstrated in a small demo video I’ve created. For now, let me just sum up the basics:

    Frontend
    - AJAX Support (submitting goes through AJAX assets connectors, script can be adapted/adopted as needed)
    - Custom chunk
    - Small snippet
    - Very customizable

    Backend
    - Tabbed component layout with new and handled requests
    - Ability to delete, modify and set as (un)handled
    - Ability to add specific notes to the request (data you’ve gathered about the request/call along the way)

A small demonstration of the backend. I’m gonna code the snippet and chunk today, so that’ll be up anytime today or tomorrow.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you’re most welcome to post them beneath, as I will be checking and updating this topic regulary.

Thanks fly out to b03tz for the amazing support with ExtJS and portions of MODx! Thanks bro!

Thanks and exactly! That was one of my first idea’s as well. When my site is finally up, I’ll be posting all sorts of tutorials, since I’ll be using MODx for my business. Thus I need to know the ins and outs of the API. smiley

                  Hey guys,

I’ve been working on VisionCart for the better part of the last couple of months. I’ve got some finishing up to do and then it’s ready to be released. Not a promise, but I’ll see what I can do this weekend. I’ve still got to figure out why the installer can’t find my callmeback.mysql class ánd how to upload it to package management (MODx extra’s).

Have you tried Packman? Very easy for a quick packaging... ;-)
