    Hi all! Sorry for offtopic.

    Explain me, please:
    - What are basic differences between Revolution and 0.9.6.1?
    - Where is it possible to look, in what state there is a development of MODx Revolution?

    Thanks.

        Hi Jason,

I apologise if this has been covered anywhere else, but I wonder would current snippets and modules still work with 0.9.7 or would it be a case of that they need updating to work with the new core?

I ask because I am eagerly awaiting the release of 0.9.7 (and will more than likely have a play with the alpha version) but I use a fair few snippets and plugins/modules and am worried that i would lose the use of these when the time came to upgrade.

        Regards,

        Tom.

They need updating.. How much effort is needed depends on the snippet / module..

But in general, much effort has been made to keep the new core as compatible as possible with the existing one so changes will be minimal in most cases, and some will work without any changes.

              Heyho,

I have another question concerning the general code of modx. Is there some uml chart of the whole code of modx or would it be possible to publish something like this? It’s because I am new to MODx and I really like it. It is great but I have a big job at the moment: coding a social network. And it is very hard to check the whole big code for a small information. MODx also has a really big and good API and before writing something that already exists it would be great to have a graphical overview.

Thanks to everybody who takes part on developing this system!!! kiss

              greetings
              Max
                I love MODx

When do you think we will be able to have a module that allows you to easily place newsfeeds from other sites into yours?

                  Have you looked at FeedX?

The new core is documented using php-doc and located here: http://docs.modxcms.com/

There is no documentation this extensive for the 0.9.6 branch, but you can examine the 0.9.6 API Pages for some help.

I’ve used 0.9.6 for a long time now and so far it’s the only cms I’m satisfied with. Complete control over the output is a necessity and this framework provides it.

I’ve been following the 0.9.7. branch for months now and I’m very impressed by it. It would be the way I would design a CMS if I ever had the time to make one smiley Anyway, keep up the good work.
