MODx-Browser with input-textfield

Hello,

is there any easy way to make the modx-browser open when the user clicks on an input-textfield
I created for a self-programmed component? I have no idea how to work with the extJS, is there a way
without meddling around a lot, maybe some kind of simple tutorial or description?

Try an input type of ’file’ for the TV.

No,

I can’t use a TV, the browser should open when a user clicks on an input-textfield in a
self-coded component, not a resource.

Is this a component that’s running in the Manager? I don’t think there’s any documentation for that yet (other than at the extJS site). You’d have to look at the extJS code the Manager uses to do it for file TVs.

xtype: ’modx-combo-browser’

And you’ll need to look for a ’select’ event. Though there’s not much docs for it. Look at how the File/Image TV does it.

I only need to find out how to get the MODx object

The MODx object is available in the front end as $modx.

I found the following JS-Code:

I think I have to define it similar to this (xtype, listener..), but I’m afraid I have no clue how to work with
these objects in extJS. I read some tutorials bit I didn’t get is: How do I generate an input field out of that?
Is there any show() method which returns the html/js stuff?
