After moving to a new server (it’s actually to different hosting on the same VPS so the setup is the same) I can no longer edit chunks. The site cache has been cleared as has my browser’s, I forced ’Editor to be used for Elements’ to None (and installed Code Mirror and tried that too). I have tried disabling TinyMCE and uninstalling it, emptying core/cache but no success. Snippets are ok as are template variables and resources. I have even gone through the database looking for mention of TinyMCE and chunk to try and see the problem, but nothing.
There have been similar topics to this, but I have tried everything they suggested but no joy.
Any ideas?

Did you you follow the steps for moving the site to a new server? Or run setup in upgrade mode once you moved it to the new location?
I followed the instructions ’Moving Your Site to a New Server’ religiously crossing off each step as I went including the upgrade option. Unfortunately, I had to ftp the files down/up so I did get a couple of permission problems but I think they were all ironed out after a bit of playing.
Is there a list of the checks that the manager does when trying to load the chunk window?
If so, I can go through each one and find out what the problem is.

Doe sit work if you disable or uninstall the TinyMCE Extra?
No, I am afraid not. I completely uninstalled it at one point, cleared cache, sessions etc, and still nothing.

Is it possible that mod_security on the new server is blocking the content of your chunk in the POST then? This is a common issue as well.
Do you have a list of things such as folder permissions, cache locations, db server settings etc. that can be checked? With this information I’ll be able to create a plugin that checks the server setup and advises and changes that need to be made - similar to the install script.
This has been fixed with an upgrade to 2.0.5
