[SOLVED] Package Retriever Problem Revolution 2.0-pl

Trying to download extras through package retriever (I’ve tried many different ones with no success).

I find the extra I want, such as tinymce, and then click the download button. The download buttons grey out and become unclickable, but that’s it. Nothing else ever happens, no errors no install option nothing.

Could it be that I’m missing something that is not checked for before modx installs?

Checked the error log and this is all it says:

Still can’t get packages to download.

Here’s some server details:

PHP Version 5.2.13
cURL support enabled
cURL Information libcurl/7.20.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8b zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5

MySQL 5.0.90

The directory /core/packages is writable?

I think Jan is on the right track. My guess to is that your permissions are incorrect for /core/packages/

Tried changing permissions from 755 to 777 still not getting any packages to download.

I deleted the entire install and started from scratch again, the install process goes through with no errors or warnings and during that process I get the following message:

Checking if core/packages directory exists: OK!
Checking if core/packages directory is writable: OK!

Is there documentation on manually installing packages with Revo? I tried downloading tinymce-4.0.1-rc1.transport.zip and uploading it to:

core/packages/tinymce-4.0.1-rc1.transport.zip

but nothing shows under "Package Management" in Revo, just says "No data to display"

Here’s some more environment info if that helps:

CentOS release 5.5 (Final)
Kernel Version 2.6.18-194.3.1.el5PAE (SMP)

Tried Firefox 3.6 & 4.0 beta and Chrome 5

Also tried uploading quip-1.0.0-pl.transport.zip to core/packages

Still shows "No data to display", for Package Management list.

- Do you have cURL installed by chance?
- Are you running any opcode caching (APC, eAccelerator, xCache, etc)?
- What zip extensions do you have installed?
- Are there any relevant errors in core/cache/logs/error.log?

You have to scan for local packages once you manually upload them; click Add New Package and then select the Search Locally for Packages option.

For what it’s worth, the errors listed in the first posting look like the same that I saw in the error log. But I was also able to use the package manager to download and successfully install the sample site.

I did not get any flagged errors nor did I need to manually go and change permissions in order to get the sample site material downloaded and installed.

This was on Hostgator.

Thanks for that. I read the docs but must have missed that part. Doh! Upon scanning I can see and install the manually downloaded packages. Still can’t download through Package manager though.

zip extension is installed in PHP5 and running zlib

Just the errors listed in the original post above.

Was talking to the Server Admin he mentioned we have have SuPHP and looking at the server error logs that there is "a modsec trigger" showing for my domain "which is listed as a "Remote File Injection attempt in ARGS"".

He went ahead and turned off that particular modsec rule, but I still can’t download addons in the manager.
