RC-1 to RC-2 upgrade. Now I can't right click to create anything.

This is a bit bizarre. I’ve just upgraded my RC-1 to RC-2 and now I can’t right click to create any chunks/snippets.. in the manager.

I tried clearing the cache, restarting etc etc.. The only error I got from the upgrade was, but can’t how see this can be locking my right clicks..:

Just to check it wasn’t a glitch in my system/xampp/firefox.. I did a fresh install of both RC-1 and RC-2 and both are working fine.

Try:

- logging out and back in
- clearing browser cache
- clearing core/cache/

Was this a Traditional or Advanced distro?

I downloaded the Advanced distro.

- logging out and back in
- clearing browser cache
- clearing core/cache/

Did all the above a single steps then all together but still can’t right click.

Again checking it’s nothing system based, the other RC-2 (advanced distro) install is still right click working.

Ah, ok, during install, did you uncheck the "Core Package has been manually unpacked" and "Files in-place" checkboxes?

If not, re-run setup with those unchecked.

No I didn’t untick ’Core’ I shall re-run the install again.

You need to uncheck those for Advanced installations: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/Upgrading

This just happened on one of my standard upgrades from RC-1 to RC-2. (I’ve cleared all browser and server caches. Still can’t right click.) I’ll be running the advanced setup to see if that fixes things.

Time is what keeps everything from happening all at once.

If you did the Advanced distribution, you’ll need to uncheck those boxes.

If not, make sure you clear your browser cache.
