files updates

Hi! I’ve seend that there i a SVN repository of all updates!


I need you help! I’ve installed revo.... I’d like to use it and update with new features/chages/fix ... what I’ve to do?? (I use MAC)

Another question .... for the DB update... where Can I find chages/fix/update?

but I’ve this problem:

- I’ve already installed revo version (using setup from download area), I’ve to delete installed this files??? or update installed files using SVN?
- How Can I download all SVN files (what I’ve to install on MAC)??
- Can you tell me the differences between (bleeding-edge) and (stable) version?

There is not a stable version of Revo yet; it’s still in beta. SVN development branch typically contains a lot of fixes but it may introduce a new regression from time to time.

For SVN on Mac, I’d recommend SVN X or Versions:

Also of note, Cornerstone looks really good too. SVN X is free whereas Versions and Cornerstone are commercially licensed tools.

Yep, i’m using Cornerstone and i find it very slick and easy to use. It’s really worth the price...

about the update I’ve these questions:

OK with SVN I’ve all updates about Revo but..

where Can I find updates of the installed package???

where Can I find updates of DB?? (new fields for example...)

Packages in Revo are available in System | Package Management | Download Extras button.

BTW, If you are trying to learn MODx as a new user, you might be much happier with the 1.0.2 version of MODx which has many pre-installed components and the option of installing a full demo MODx site.

when will be disponible patch for package installed what I have to do??

Delete package installed and reinstall new package?? (using package manager...) ... this action could delete some information in my templates created with the package that I’ve patched?


With SVN I can update my Revo files ... but if there is a patch in DB tables .... how Can I apply this?

All core db changes are handled by running setup in upgrade mode.
