2.11 Cache won't clear from Manager

My specs are at the bottom of this post.

My cache won’t clear when I do Site->Clear Cache
Specifically, resources. I almost don’t care if the mgr cache clears. But the resource cache has to, otherwise edits don’t show up until I manually delete it all in FTP or CPanel.

I’ve tried setting core/cache to 777
I’ve tried setting it to more reasonable settings as well.
And nothing works.
I have had mod_security turned off all the way for this domain, so that I could use chunks at all.

MODx 2.11 - Traditional
PHP 5.2.14
mySQL 5.1.56-log
PDO Support: enabled
PDO Drivers: sqlite, sqlite2, mysql
PDO Driver for MySQL, client library version: 5.1.56

The only error in my error log is:

Browser(s): Google Chrome, MS IE 9, Firefox 3, Apple McSafari

If the host is using suPHP or suExec, try 755 for directories and 644 for files.

I don’t think it is, but I tried 644 and 755 anyway. No dice.
I guess I’m going to have to just turn caching off entirely. Whatever, it’s my own damned fault.

I shouldn’t have upgraded these sites, it was a really stupid thing to do. I am hording a couple of copies of 2.08, but it’s too late for these 2 sites .

Did you try to do it twice? I have to do it twice every time. Seems to have something to do with ExtJS, I suppose.

I’m running 2.1. I also have the frequent issue where when I use the "clear cache" option it runs for a second and the "ok" button becomes available but nothing really happens. The console window is completely blank. Then I just run it again and the console window displays the usual logs regarding cache cleanup. I’m pretty sure I was seeing this before 2.1, but it is more frequent now.

Have the same problems here. Already mentioned to OpenGeek but he can’t reproduce. I cannot either as it’s happening not every time and not after specific actions. But it happens. Same for logouts due to cache-clearing.

In regards to the "logouts due to cache clearing" issue, can you provide your cache_db* settings as well as your session_* settings. I want to make sure what you are experiencing is what I suspect: a session garbage collection configuration issue caused by the changes to session behavior in 2.1.1.

Oh - is that why I keep getting logged out on 2.1.1? All my cache_db settings are defaults:

cache_db = No
cache_db_expires = 0
cache_db_session = 0
cache_db_session_lifetime = blank

What is you session_cookie_lifetime? Try setting a value for session_gc_maxlifetime, something like 640800 (7 days), flush all sessions, and see if the issue goes away.
