Things seem a bit slow in the forums?

Is it my impression or have things been a bit slow the past few weeks here in the forums? Do the stats reflect this notion?

Maybe because it’s been vacation time? Although, I haven’t noticed a slowdown; if I don’t read twice a day I end up with two or three pages of posts to read through.

I’d say it is a little slower but the end of summer (time off) has passed and people are digging into work. I think that things will pick up on the forums soon.

My gut is that things are going to pick up a lot indeed come October and beyond. Stats don’t really reflect a slowdown; in fact they’re way up year over year.

August saw the lowest number of new topics since Sept 06, and comparing Aug 2008 (678) with Aug 2007 (772) there is over 10% drop. However there were way more new posts and new members and many more pageviews (according to the forum stats).

Also a lot of activity from boards in languages I have blocked out.

Numbers (Apple’s version of Excel, which is infuriatingly frustrating if you know Excel, but damnit if it doesn’t make perty charts. )

why can’t micro$oft make things as pretty....

Nice graph, steady yearly increase. Things have picked up lately and activity seems back to normal or maybe even a bit more.
