About layout of wiki

Dear all,

I have a request to admin of modxwiki.
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Main_Page

We are creating the own page.
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Ja:main
This is Japanese main.

When we go to a sub page such the following:
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Ja:MODx_%E3%81%AE%E6%A6%82%E8%A6%81
It is difficult that we return to our main page.

So I want to put a language list to a side bar. ( About_layout_of_wiki.gif)



Is this possible?

Why doing this?, you can link-back to categories on every single page or even the categories pages itself.

Suppose you make "Ja:subcategory1" section/page on Japanese wiki and you it to have a link-back to its parent called "Ja:category1"
To accomplish this, open/edit the "Ja:subcategory1" page and add this: [[Category:Ja:category1]] in it, no matter where you add this, it will be displayed on "ja:subcategory1" page’ footer.

I kind of agree with MEGU that it would be easier to navigate between pages this way.
Plus, it’s consistent with how most MediaWiki install work handling multi-lingual content (including wikipedia)...

Now, don’t ask me how it’s done, I am a fan of DocuWiki and never used MediaWiki much...

Its probably a good idea... since several users land on inside pages (from SEs) where those language links does not appear...

I think also that this way is very good.
But in order to do this, probably we need to have wiki for each language.

Yes, I made "Ja:category1". And I add [[Category:Ja:category1]].
Link to "category1" appeared in the footer of each page.
And a link to each page appeared in the Category page.

But I can not return to own main page from each pages.
I want to do it.

If thats the case you can duplicate it but this time for Japanese main page i.e: Make another link for Japanese main wiki page that appears on each page.

I agree on Zaigham and David’s point on topic but, till then you can adopt this method to see what you want on your pages.

Megu, There is a few from forums contributing to wiki so actually a few will get what you say or suggest in general wiki topics!...
