Default Template for 0.9.5

Well, I can’t remember having seen the MODxHost theme before but that definitely has my vote. To be honest, I like ’em all so this been quite a difficult choice to make.

Just one thing, the login form on the ’dark’ template seems to have a bit awry in FF 1.5.0.1 (WinXP) - it doesn’t sit nicely in the left column and extends across the content area.

Well done to everybody whose been involved in these themes - they’re an accolade to the system!

@Jason - I like ’meritocracy’, I’ll have to try and slip that in at work one day. I’m sure they’ll love the concept

The MODxHost theme is new and is based off of Starbuck’s MODxHost template (used with permission of course).

Duh! Hence the name .... thanks Mark - I was a bit slow on the uptake then

Absolutely agreed! Fabulous. I know I told Mark I would vote for MODxHost, but man, the light and dark are really good, too. Regardless of which one wins though, they’re all extremely well done. Kudos!

Stole that from the Eclipse Foundation actually. Clever fellows over there with a lot of experience in developing a core product with lots of add-on proposals that can become official sub-projects... [hmmm, maybe some good approaches there to consider as we start to build a more formal development culture around MODx]

I’m torn between the new one (modxhosting), Zi’s and trend light default ... :/

Also like Trend light and Zi’s light a LOT !

But I voted for MODxHost because of consistency with modxcms.com’s theme, and because I think it has strong visual impact...

This being said, having so many nice template to choose from, I am most definitely sure those will be great hits when the release is out

The MODxHost is very nice. I preferred the Trend (default), though, because it would be much easier for "newbie" users to modify. There are an amazing number of sites out there with the original default Etomite template, tables and all, just with minor modifications (even my first Eto/Modx site is still using that template!)

Wow! I love MODxhost template, but i must agree with Susan - a lot of people need a very simple template to modify and i really love zix clean template .
