Are lexicon strings available in the front end?

Are lexicon strings available in the front end?

I can’t get a language tag to display anything but the key value.

Also, can you specify the namespace and topic in the tag?

$modx->getService('lexicon','modLexicon');
$modx->lexicon->load($topic);
return '';

[[LoadLexicon? &topic=`myTopicName`]]

Actually, I think allowing [[%key? &namespace=`ns` &topic=`topic`]] would be a great idea, and prevent the need to load the topics explicitly in a snippet or plugin.

I was thinking [[%key:namespace:topic]], but I agree that a snippet or plugin shouldn’t be necessary.

Fair enough. How about:

[[%key%Namespace%topic]]

or would that mess with tag processing?

I think the existing tag syntax is fine and introducing yet another syntax seems counter-intuitive to me.
