I know the release is the primary focus, but continued from my last post here and before I switch to something else and forget, I was wondering if it would not be a good thing to have moderators involved in Marketing MODx.
We already openened the Test & Release forum to them, and
Doze had me thinking that this would be a good idea to have them jump in and get some animation down here

Not everyone will have ideas or be interrested in marketing, but that could be a way of having some ideas flying here. Plus, if we are to do any serious marketing we have to consider non-english communities...
What do you think ?

+1 from me -- I think this is not only good, but almost a necessity. I really think we need to continue our push to open-up the team portion of the community to wider audiences, and this is another good stepping stone.
Sounds good, but how about getting those members only who are interseted into Marketing group so they will be able access Marketing forum in addition to moderators?
regards.

Thanks all for the quick replies
I really think we can get some dynamics rolling once we open the marketing forum. Not only will it be a great source of ideas, but it will also be a great motivator, emulating and all

Well, actually, what I am proposing is even more open in a way, since I suggested we give all moderators access to the marketing forum

Quote from: OpenGeek at Aug 23, 2006, 05:42 PMI agree with this more open approach. IMHO, even those that don’t want to know about marketing (or hate marketing, like me
) can have valuable input into the process. And if they don’t like it, ignore boards...
I hope you don’t hate me, just doing the dirty job here

lol
In fact I never thought of myself as a marketing guy, not in the traditionnal way anyway... I think you can do marketing without being obnoxious or obvious (ads, for instance, is something I just hate and zap !).
The Keywords here are "passion", "believing in the product value" and "communication skills"... I feel more like a MODx evangelist of some kind

Btw, is this done yet? Atleast I didn’t have access here before when I was in Moderators / Testing & QA..
