Giving back ? How to ?

Can some one take a step ahead to prepare a document on "How to give back" or some other effective cool title includes:

Donating

Banner display

Button display

Link back

Helping in forums

Releasing back the snippets/plugins or tips and tricks

..any other idea to include.

All script services’ links to vote etc.

anyone ? well, i know it will take some time, but we appreciate it much.

Great ideas, and pretty exhaustive input too, I thought about it yesterday but so far, can’t think of anything to add...

The single biggest thing I think is boosting our search position for "content management system" in google, which means some very specificly crafted links to MODx would be tremendously appreciated.

Yeah links from blogrolls of MODx users could greatly help ranking in that regard...

We have more than 4500 users here, more than 3000 of which are Zero post users (if my caculation is right) => it means we have roughly 1500 people max would could link to us. Let’s say we end up having 150/200 users putting up a ling, that would be nice. Especially for those highly frequented websites... Plus MODx powered websites (Do we know how many of them there are ?)

By crafted links you mean inserting "content management system" in link title, assigning a css class named content_management_system or for an image link naming it MODX_content_management_system.png ?

For the linking thing, two things:

I need to create a couple of pages specifically about content managment systems and PHP Appication frameworks.

The link would be crafted such that it would look like:

How do we set something up ? Have a dedicated page with some catchy stuff (just throwing ideas here) :

You have language skills ? Why not contribute to maintaining and improving translations ?

You have php skills ? Did you check the API and dbAPI ? Maybe there’s a module, plugin or snippet you could contribute

You have designer’s skills ? You like MODx awesome flexibility ? Why not share a template ?

You are an experienced user ? You can help us fix bugs !
