    Always wanted to do this. Line 1046 of document.parser.class.inc.php:

    // check whether it's a reference
    if($this->documentObject['type']=="reference") {
        // if it's an internal docid tag, process it
        if(strpos($this->documentObject['content'],'[~') !== false) {
            // generate a url
            $this->documentObject['content'] = $this->rewriteUrls($this->documentObject['content']);
        }
        $this->sendRedirect($this->documentObject['content']);
    }

      Is this in the SVN yet Susan or do you need it added?

        I don’t do svn, I don’t feel my code is reliable enough. If somebody likes it and thinks it’s useful, by all means take it and use it.

          I put this as a feature request in the bug tracker, is it going to get added? (I’m working at learning how to use SVN properly!)

            Susan, just commit it to your branch, and we’ll get it merged down into the trunk.

              uh...ok. I’ll see what I can figure out. I think my branch is pretty old, I haven’t been near it for months. I’ll have to figure out how to update it to the current trunk, then how to update that to reflect my local changes. <sigh> I’ve already washed dishes today, and I can’t put it off because I have to wash diapers either, can I? Maybe I should go clean the stove...

                There’s two ways to do that:

                1) assuming your branch was started from the trunk, just update it using the update arrow-button in SVNx from the Working Copies window

                2) if you’re not so sure and don’t need anything in there, use the Repositories window, press the delete button and add the folders in your branch to the list and commit them with a message stating something about "starting over"... then highlight the trunk folder in the browser, click the SVN copy button, and in the dialog that pops up, navigate to your folder inside branches and click commit.

                If you do number 2 you’ll wind up with a copy of the trunk that will be easy to keep up to date with the trunk buy clicking the update button as per #1 above.

                Does this make sense?

                  Yes, I think... I’ll let you know after I actually do it!

                    Ok, I got my new remote copy, and checked it out into my local machine’s web space. I’ll install it and see what kind of trouble I can get into with it.

                      Ok, I think it’s done...not too hard after all. Only took three or four tries to get it right.
