Hi everyone. This is only my second full site design so I am still just beginning to harness the full power of this CMS smiley I come from a Joomla and Wordpress background, so there is quite a difference (for the better) and I plan on completing my upcoming designs also with ModX.

I recently launched this site for a close friend who is starting up a Hair Lightening company.

I still need to figure out the Browser Friendly page titles, hopefully this weekend.

Let me know what ya think.

Nice site. You might want to lighten the grey text up a bit at the bottom of the home page. It was dark on my monitor.

I always have issues when it comes to color on these dark sites. I use so many different monitors throughout the week and none seem to share the same color settings :\

The background pattern also seems fairly dark on my work monitor but at home its perfect. I’ll fix that grey text asap.

            Nice design.

I’m guessing this is a typo (unless the "bell" is a female body part I’m not familiar with). wink

            Body Hair Lightening

Includes all upper, middle, and bottom extremities; arms, back, chest, bell, thighs.

Good catch. I am not sure to be honest, I will ask the lady who provided the copy. Thanks!

You are probably right. Haven’t heart back from the client but it sounds like a safe bet.

Thank you! I love jQuery smiley

Nice. I would not have the header so large - might take up a lot of room on a 1024x768 display.

                    See attached screen grab.

Nice code too. What’s the Dynamic Text Replacement you are using? ’Cufon’? Is that easy to integrate?

Thanks Jason. I definitely considered the screen resolution dilemna, just a bit too late. I was set on a 960 width design (as I usually shoot for) but got carried away on changes to the featured area and it just wasn’t in the budget to go back and revamp things. Thankfully, over 90% of the visitors will be college kids near my client, so chances are good they’ll be using larger resolutions.

Yep, Cufon is what I use. It is very simple to apply. Here is their site: http://cufon.shoqolate.com

I’ve also used it on this design: http://www.thegfpgroup.com

You can’t fully modify the text with CSS, but font-color and font-size work fine. I only ran into issues when adding it to hover states, but you may reference my code (just before closing body tag) to see how I got it to work.
