    Hey all,

Been working on a new site for my company. Still filling in the blanks and finishing an external shopping site but we’re about 80% complete. Need to upload and complete the technical library and contact pages. The rest I am quite pleased with.

One item that is killing me to solve and just found it. My top menu has a three level drop down for products, IE shows it just fine. Safari and FireFox do nothing. Cannot figure it out for the life of me! Appreciate any insight you may have.- Solved. Simple error on my end.

Any general suggestions you have are well appreciated!

There’s quite a few validation errors - it may worth adressing those first.

Thanks David, really appreciate it. Finding a few bugs and problems but trying to work through them. In general I am very happy with the results and ease of navigation (not to mention how great MODx has been to work with).

The latest issue is on this page: http://dev.sensidyne.com/sensidyne-support/niosh-methods.php
The data is pulling from a table within the MODx db. I need to find a way to provide a drop-down or list of methods (one of the columns within the table) allowing visitors to select which one they are after rather than displaying a large list as I do now. The current is displayed using loopDBChunk.

If you have suggestions let me know.

Interesting navigation, wasn’t expecting it to open the left. Also I would recommend adding &parentClass and an active state to that Wayfinder call, right now it’s mystery meat navigation. Well, technically speaking all drop-downs are mystery meat, but that’s another story. Same thing with the side-nav on the lower level landing pages, hard to determine what section you’ll be in.

For the NIOSH page, I’m not too sure what all there is to it. How would these "methods" normally be arranged if they were in a pamphlet or something? Could you split up the pieces of a "method" into multiple select boxes to delineate a given "method". Something like using the fields below to narrow a search down.

              • Flow Rate
              • Sampler
              • Configuration

Nice clean design though, definitely on the right track, keep up the good work!

For the NIOSH page my goal would be a drop-down or selection list where the user would select an "Airborne Material Sampled" then upon selection the information below display. However I am a noob when it comes to PHP. Any advice or referrals to guides are appreciated.

That sounds more like a job for AJAX to pull up the data for display when an item is chosen, or a basic FAQ-type accordion display, where all the information is loaded but only the selectable items are displayed. It could be done with CSS to hide/show the associated information, or with javascript.

Susan, AJAX would be great since the page would not need to refresh. Can you point me in the right direction maybe a tutorial?
