Moto's portfolio site, now modx'ed

Well, I still have modx fever, so I decided to try to tackle my portfolio site. Previously, I just built it as a static page since it is just an informational site with no logins, databases, or fun stuff like that. Come to think of it, I probably could have left it like that, but I wanted to work with modx some more, so it’s an excuse

Anyway, feel free to see the site at http://www.damonbauer.com/. I even gave modx some love by adding my own graphic in the footer on every page.

Let me know your thoughts, and anything you think I could add.

Looks good. Thanks for the modx love.

As much as I love modx and love promoting modx, I’d suggest toning down the modx badge on the site.

Your site design is done in dark and having a stark white badge draws the user eye away from your content. I’d strongly suggest you make the background of the badge match your site. It will help your conversions and the more conversions the more modx sites you can build.

Thanks for the feedback on the logo guys. I went ahead and added my background color, and toned down the brightness of the logo a bit. It does look a lot better. Thanks again!

bunk58, I just ported over the site about an hour ago, so I haven’t had a chance to really change all of the links yet. Once I get the videos linked to the right spot, you should be able to see them (although they aren’t very good ) I also am trying to get the "Active" or "current" state working for my wayfinder navigation, but am having a tad bit of difficulty.

I went ahead and also attached my logo, if anyone would want it. I can also add some variation (like background and foreground colors).

Let me know about any other thoughts on the site.

Sure. The white is attached. The actual modx logo (the box) has a slight bit of transparency on it - I make it normal (not transparent) if you’d like as well.

Update:

Videos and Animations should be working. Although kinda corny, they are up there Also figured out the "current" part of the wayfinder menu and added Google Analytics to the site.
