Here are two sister sites that have just gone live.
    Signature Residences
    Hot Properties
The sites were converted from an old .asp CMS that was proving difficult to maintain.
Layout was converted from a table design and tidied up a little, but the client wanted to keep a similar overall look.
Nothing to fancy from a coding point of view.
Ditto used extensively with tagging for the search functionality.
Eform used for most of the forms.
A modified version of WebLogin so the owner gets an email when a user logs in, also the user email is used as their username.
There’s a simple automatic JS slide show on the property pages, the client just loads whatever photos he has into a folder named the same as the doc ID.
I used quite a few TV’s for the property page template where the client can add tags for searching, Google map co-ordinates, select chunks for the sidebar, meta content & description etc.
Some of the TV’s use the EVAL function to check if there is content to display or check if a user is logged in and display a restricted link.
MODx’s flexibility never ceases to amaze me, only my lack of knowledge holds me back!

I like the sites a lot.

Nice use of search functions and over all looks really sweet. Well done!

Great sites! I’d be interested to know how you’re handling the email alerts/newsletter functionality.

And this pic is amazing, where is it?

Don’t know where the photo is, the client provided the images, does look pretty spectacular though.
The Alerts / Newsletter signup is just an email to the client, he adds them manually to an existing CRM/Newsletter package.
I did think about using one of the newsletter modules, but he’s keeping it separate for the time being.
He did ask about a possible integration with something like CiviCRM which could be interesting.

Great sites, Bunk58! I really like both of them.
@therebechips: I believe that pic is of Thailand or Vietnam. In that part of the world, but most likely Thailand.

@cbaone: that looks really amazing. One day I hope to visit that part of the world, if I ever get any time off undecided

I second, third and forth that comment.

MODx is the dogs you know whats. I’m only now starting to achieve some nice ideas and sites with the help of all of you guys and Bunk58’s sites just go to show you what you can achieve.

If I was a member of the MODx team, I would be exceptionally proud of myself as this CMS/CMF is simply amazing. I have always wondered what it would be like to be able to create something that is so complex but I just can’t... I actually think people that can program are from another planet as web designing is as far as I can go. I may create sites that look ok and have nice functions but it’s MODx and the people that made it possible. Hats off. grin
