    Hi all,

    I’m pleased to introduce you my second website powered by Modx.(90% done)
    This is a corporate website made for a shipper of Fruits and Vegetables From Provence.

    http://www.copadel.com

    The site is multilingual but for now is only avalaible in French. The english and german version will be released in a couple of days . The text are being translated by the client.

    Hope you’ll enjoy.

    Comments are welcome.

    :-)

    P.S: Special thx to dimmy for his useful snippet GetChunkbyUPID, DOZE for MaxiGallery and as usual to the Modx team.

          Great site, clean (design, CSS, W3C), with very warm colors !

          Just be careful with the searche engine : when there’s no result found, the text is in english ("There were no search results. Please try using more general terms to get more results."), it should be in french in this case !

          Regards
            R

            Nice graphics, very refreshing! smiley Didn’t understand a word on the site though grin

            What solution you’ll be using when enabling the multilanguage features?

            EDIT: would be nice, if the "Contacte nous.." (or what it reads) image below the side menu would link to the contact page..

              you’re right but it belongs to the 10% work left ;-)

              @doze
              I agree with you it’s lack and will fix it quickly
              About the multilingual feature. I’ve chosen the easiest way to do it.
              Every version is in a folder.
              That way I had to modify some of the snippets I used such as breadcrumb, flexsearch by adding a call to Ultimate parent

                  As I said earlier on the french thread about this website, great work !
                  This one is sure going to help me convert even more french webdesigners to MODx grin

                  We’re on the same page here laugh
                  MODx does so much for you as far as speed of development, and control over design are concerned... I’ll soon have two more myself...

                    Very nice site with a very clean markup!

                    One tip: For your topmenu you use alternative images for the hover and active effect. Put these two images together in one image, e.g. normal above the active/hover state. Then define for hover/active (for example):

                    ...li a:hover {
                    background-position: -30px;
                    }

                    Advantage: The images don´t have to load again at first visit for the other states (I expect that you don´t see this because the images are already cached). With the method described above the images are already loaded and there is no white background while loading the other image.

                      Exactly the same advice I gave heliotrope on the french thread about his website, use the "sliding doors technique" as they call it smiley
