Configuration of the friendly url

Hello,
I have a problem with the friendly url, doesn’t work...
I already select in Tools->Configuration->Friendly url and put:
Use friendly URLs: yes
Prefix for friendly URLs:
Suffix for friendly URLs: .html

Please you could me help

Have you renamed the ht.access file to .htaccess in your site root?

yes. the modx stops working...
I have this error :
"500 Internal Server Error"

Please you can help me, I don’t know what I do

If your Modx installation is in a sub directory you would need to edit the .htaccess file :

I have the folders assets and manager inside of the folder modx...
then I update the file .htaccess : RewriteBase /modx/
I still have same problem, the error 500 Internal Error
You know what is happen?
Please assist me

Do you have mod_rewrite running?
Check via the Manager :
Reports => System Info =>phpInfo() - View
Scroll down to apache2handler
Look in Loaded Modules for mod_rewrite

Already see and confirm that I don’t have mod_rewrite running...
I take the initiative of search the file httpd.conf and remove the # before :
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so

And now mod_rewrite is in Loaded Modules

I can open the modx but the friendly url continue not work...

I don’t think you can have FURL’s without mod_rewrite
From the top of the .htaccess file :

You must serve web pages via Apache with mod_rewrite to use this functionality

You could try asking your host if the mod_rewrite module can be enabled.
