MODx Tree menu

Hi,
When I click over a Resource in the Tree Menu I want it to open straightaway, instead I see the "Resource Overview". How can I change that? I have MODx Evolution 1.0.4

I have attached a screenshot of new config options in 1.0.4.

The option you are looking for is: "Page Click Behaviour".

Yep, now Resource Overview is set as default and you have to click two times to open a Resource (unless you change the configuration settings).

That’s what happens when you get a lot of people wanting two different things! Change it, and the ones who wanted it the way it was start complaining, change it back and the ones who wanted the different way complain! Now there’s a setting in the Configuration so everybody can be happy.

Clients appear stumped when faced with the overview page as it isn’t obvious the page is editable, despite the top right buttons. Frustrating for programmers with the extra click. Great idea with a config setting, the only score to settle now is which should be the default?!

I think that the "Click and Open" behaviour should be set as default. A new member that starts with MODx 1.0.4 will not know about it and will waste time with the extra click.

That’s just my opinion. What’s the point of having to see each time the "Resource Overview"?

I know the feeling of.... "what just happened?" when updating to 1.0.4.

Also, I was being stumped by the fact that it wouldn’t retain the open tab in Elements after the update, and I was close to reporting it as a bug when I saw the new config option for that also.

Nevertheless, it’s good people can choose now.

Any ideas on why someone would not want to remember the tab he was working in?
