Tried to use the search, but no results corresponding to the case. Sorry if the question is realy dummy.
    The problem appeared as follows.
The client needed the site transfered to another hosting-space with different mysql-access options. I decided to test it on a localhost first.
I made a backup of the DataBase, took all the files to my localhost and then modified the /manager/includes/config.inc.php file so it would match the localhost access options (server-name, username, password and dbname).

And then I open that site from a web-browser and see everything working perfectly. Looks great. But just untill I go to an inner-page (just a front-end inner page, the manager is working as it should).
And there I get this interesting picture on my screen:
    http://i067.radikal.ru/1003/42/159e568f6b0e.jpg

I go to the mentioned file, and can’t find any signs of "janna.mysql", which is, as you may have guessed, the "old" mysql server-name. Nither in that file, nor on any file it includes or requires.

So the question is: what and where could I miss and what should I do?

upd. just a little update to mension: the file-manager in the modx manager is not working as well, it sais "Invalid path" and gives the server-starting path of the old host. Some old options seem to have been left unchanged somewhere.

Try editing manger/includes/config.inc.php to contain the correct DB info and then do an upgrade install (uncheck the sample site and any snippet you’ve changed).

Did you change the server name to localhost in config.inc.php?

Have you checked plugins and snippets for any custom database access code?

Yes, I did. But there is none. Only access using MODx API functions, no mentions of any server-names, logins, passwords, etc.

The only other thing I can think of is to do a search on your assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php file and see if something is stuck in there.

It is!! Yahoo!! So what should I do? Just wipe that cache file so that the system can adopt to the settings?

Go into the Manager, then delete that file and click Clear Cache in the manager menu. (not sure if the Manager would load properly if you delete the file first)
