Reflect and Ditto calls not working after upgrade

I upgraded to modX 0.9.6.2 and now some of my reflect and ditto calls won’t work.

My first problem is my archive listings:

Here is my reflect code in a sidebar for archiving news items:

[[Reflect?config=`wordpress`  &targetID=`109` &id=`myDittoCall` &tplContainer=`dittoArchivesL` &getDocuments=`1` &dateSource=`pub_date` &dittoSnippetParameters=`startID:90|sortBy:pub_date` &monthSortDir=`DESC`]]

Here is my code on page 109 which is my news archives page:

[!Ditto?startID=`90` &tpl=`dittoArtpages` &dateSource=`pub_date` &id=`myDittoCall` &dateFormat=`%B %d, %Y` &extenders=`dateFilter`!]

Document 90 is my main news page with a listing of all news items and has this call:

[!Ditto?startID=`90` &tpl=`dittoCull` &summarize=`20` &truncSplit=`true` &tagMode=`onlyTags` &dateSource=`pub_date` &extenders=`dateFilter` &dateFormat=`%B %d, %Y`!]

On another page I am using a simple ditto call with tags like this:

[!Ditto? &startID=`2` &tpl=`dittoArtpages` &tagData=`tvtags` &tagDelimiter=`,` &tagMode=`onlyTags` &tags=`Features` &dateSource=`pub_date` &dateFormat=`%B %d, %Y`!]

i get "No Documents Found" It used to work and pull up all articles tagged as "Features"

Where am I going wrong? These used to work perfectly before i upgraded MODx.

Did you upgrade your snippets as the ditto snippet? That could be it... Also make sure to delete reference snippet for reflect (http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,30875.0.html) in Reflect folder if you downloaded this older modx version way back.

I have ditto and reflect 2.1. I did not see snippet.reflect.php in my reflect snippet folder so I am assuming I have the most up to date releases with 0.9.6.2. Any other ideas? Do I dare revert back to the older versions of ditto and reflect? I really don’t want to. Perhaps there is something wrong with my code? Are there new calls with the new versions I should be using?

Try replacing &startID with &parents.

thanks for the tip, BobRay. It didn’t work. I don’t even get a "no documents found" anymore in the sidebar. I do get the "no documents found" with my ditto calls with tagging.

my reflect sidebar tpl looks like this:

<h5>Archives</h5>
<div class="reflect_archive_list">
	[+archive_items+]
</div>

This same problem came up a short time ago and the solution ended up being to downgrade.

However, before you do that, maybe there is some bad code in the upgrade process, try a manual install of both those snippets just to make sure. Don’t forget to upload the ditto folder to assets/snippets

thanks, again, mrhaw! You are on it! the changes outlined in those articles don’t seem to be affecting me though.

My ditto calls seem to be working ok except for the tagging.

I have the following TV’s set up:

articleTags
Varietytags
vintageTags
Winery_Vineyard_tags

each of these tv’s contain several tag categories.

My ditto calls with tagging look like this, for example:

[!Ditto? &startID=`2` &tpl=`dittoArtpages` &tagData=`tvtags` &tagDelimiter=`,` &tagMode=`onlyTags` &tags=`Editorial` &dateSource=`pub_date` &dateFormat=`%B %d, %Y`!]

so in this "Archive of Editorial Interviews" page I only want articles from startID=`2` with the tag "Editorial" to be listed. this call worked in the old version and won’t anymore in ditto 2 no matter what other, changed, parameters came withe the new version.

If I have more than one tag tv do i need to specify which tv i want it look in? How do I do that?

thanks, dev_cw! I will also try your suggestion and reinstall the snippets.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

thanks, everyone, for your guidance. I followed all of the suggestions that were provided and nothing has changed. Before I degrade I really want to try and fix this.

1. My ditto calls are still ok except when trying to call up specific tags. Is there another way to call up tagging to anyone’s knowledge?

My tagging call, again, is:

[!Ditto? &startID=`2` &tpl=`dittoArtpages` &tagData=`tvtags` &tagDelimiter=`,` &tagMode=`onlyTags` &tags=`Features` &dateSource=`pub_date` &dateFormat=`%B %d, %Y`!]

2. My reflect codes still aren’t working to create an monthly archive in my sidebar. Here is my code, again, for that:

You could use alternative way of tagging:

&tagData=`longtitle` &tagDelimiter=`, ` &tags=`tag-mrhaw`

For your reflect try:

&dittoSnippetParameters=`parents:90`

For your ditto try add:

&orderBy=`pub_date DESC`
