Anybody used BOKS? (visual grid editor for Blueprint CSS)

Anyone one used Boks? Just stumbled upon it today and was amazed (I am a Blueprint CSS user/fan, btw).

Boks is an AIR application (so it works on Windows, Mac and Linux) that provides a User Interface for Blueprint CSS’s framework. It’s been designed for those who think the Grid System is good but never really took the time to give it love.

It handles grid configuration, baseline rhythm pimpin’, CSS (with or without compression) and grid.png export, HTML layout and much more goodie-goodie!

Never heard of it, but it looks quite nice!

I did just try it and you have created your layout in a breeze... just click and drag to create your markup I will try this one when I start a new project!!

My feeling exactly...it was frighteningly easy. Call me lazy but I think I will be using it for the initial/basic markup and then fine tune that in a text editor

Aaah, sorry, I had a feeling that you might be referring to Blueprint CSS itself.... Lemme see if I can find some links for ya...

Impressive stuff... I use the BlueTrip CSS framework www.bluetrip.org.
It is a mix of various frameworks mainly BlutPrint and Tripoli.
but this BOKS utility is amazing...

Hopefully it can be adapted to other CSS frameworks!

U r welcome. That was one of my initial thoughts....adaptability to other frameworks. I’m also loving the fact that you are not bound to a grid of any particular size....you can choose the size you want and it will do the math and make suggestions for you. What I found ironical, at least in a far fetched sense, is that the app is made using Adobe AIR who, and here’s the irony, are the developers of DreamWeaver. I am not saying BOKS can replace DW but for those looking for a light visual editor, it’s a prettty nifty app if you asked me.
