When asking for help with a design problem it is best to let people know what you are having trouble with. If you are having trouble styling the Wayfinder menu there are lots and lots of examples on this site.
The more specific the problem the more likely people are to offer more than the response that you received but in fact they answered your question. It is okay to post many little questions but you need to also be prepared to get your hands dirty. I have been working with MODx for nearly two years and I have to ask questions and search the forums every day.
Styling a nav bar as a list is very easy to do with CSS. You don’t have to do anything with the outerTPL or innerTPL if you are just using all sibling links in the document structure for such a simple menu.
One of the prerequisites of most CMS’s is that you know how CSS at least to some degree.
to make the list into a horizontal list you just do the following:
ul.nav{
list-style:none;
margin:0;
padding:0;
}
.nav li {
display:inline;
float:left;
margin-right:20px; /*or some such*/
}
.nav li a{
display:inline-block;
}
Above this would be if your &outerClass was listed as nav.

So I started coding the design I showed you awhile ago (been pretty busy), and its only slightly working. Now I only started so its not supposed to look anything fancy as of yet, but yeah. Mind checkin it out guys?
