Mootools Fx.Slide

I would like to switch my site over to mootools in efforts to make my pages load faster. Everything is already solved except my FAQ page. My faq page is rendered by Ditto, each q&a is held in it’s own page. Looking at the mootools examples, I would need to write a chunk of js for every question - If I understand correctly (which I may not). Having to do it this way would make the page rather bulky compared to what I use now...

and having to populate the needed js inline with Ditto would require some template butchering, but I think it is possible. I would really like to use the slide and not the accordion, it is kinda clumsy to me, and my wife doesn’t like it (and this is her site). I posted my question on the mootools forum but I do not think anyone has been able to wrap their head around issue.

I do something similar with Ditto, and a slide effect, but I use jQuery. Is this what you are talking about:

Ahh yeah that is nice, and very similar to what I have. But I would like to do it with mootools. I am trying to reduce load times because that is what people are complaining about. But I have loaded my site via proxies from around the globe and it loads just as fast (or faster) than any other page.

Yeah, I wanted to do it with Mootools, but it looked like it would require inline javascript, or having to statically create the javascript for each document that you wanted to do a slide effect for. Not sure why they do not have a method for doing the slide similar to the way jQuery handles it.

OK - there is my answer.. I would have to do the inline js for each item. possible, but I have yet to get a static example working.

I will post my code when I figure it out.. well probably wouldn’t be much help to anyone. We will see!

@fruitwerks: I am using mootools to do the slide on the faqs.

hmm did not see it in your source.. are you using static or dynamic content?

You mind elaborating on the Mootools javascript you are using to render the slides? THe mootools slides do render a llot smoother than the jQuery ones.
