MOV to FLV Converter

Does anyone know a good free .mov to .flv converter for an Intel Mac (preferred) or a Windows box?

Try out SUPER - http://www.erightsoft.net/SUPER.html

I haven’t done .mov -> .flv, but I think it can do it. Converts pretty much everything. I use it to convert movies so I can play them on my phone.

I just use Flash 8 to do that (it has an integrated convertor).

I use FFMPEG for OS X. It is fast and free!

Doesn’t look like it does FLV though...

Reads the following input formats: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DIVX, XviD, non-encrypted VOB and VIDEO_TS, Quicktime .MOV, .DV, .WAV, Real Audio, Real Video, H.263, MP4 H.264, PGM, YUV, PPM, AC3, PCM8/16 bits, mulaw/Alaw, WMA-1/2, SUN AU format, MP2, MP3, AAC, 3GP, FPS1, ALAC, and even more formats

Converts the above formats to DivX, AVI XviD, H.264 MP4, MOV, DV, 3GP, Sony PSP, MP2, MP3, AAC, AC3, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VCD, CVD, SVCD, KVCD, KSVCD, DVD, KDVD and MPEG-TS with complete control over encoding options.

we’re using ffmpeg serverside...so we can convert a whole load of different video formats into FLV serverside. It can even make framegrabs automatically for thumbs. Really recommended.

I am looking to run FFMPEG serverside as well. Do you know any good links to show how to set this up and run it? Tutorials, etc.?

Yes I have. Sometimes a good real-use example / tutorial is easier and helps out a lot.

So if anyone knows of a good tutorial, it would be greatly appreciated.

ehh..just install ffmpeg win32 build on your server and run it from the commandline using PHP
