I am recently busy with making a web page, at first I didn’t know Modx and I wanted to start with CMS. So I kind of learned to use Joomla.
But now, a friend of mine told me he is making web pages with Modx, and I saw the easiness of it. I was quite far with with joomla, but now I want to start with Modx because it is just faster and uses so far less modules and plug ins then Joomla which you don’t even use.
Now the fact of starting this topic is because I want to know how I can easily copy or whatever, the Joomla template to Modx.
I hope someone can help me
Greetings,

I’m sorry when I posted this topic in the wrong board

Make your Joomla page, and when it’s being displayed in your browser do a "view source" and copy/paste the whole HTML page into a MODx template form field. Then just replace the various content bits with the appropriate MODx tags (Wayfinder for menus, [[*content]], or [*content*] if you’re using Evo, for the main content of the page, etc). Make sure the links to the CSS and any JS files are pointing to the correct location for those files; in Evo they tend to be in assets/templates/name-of-template and assets/js.
Allright, thanks for the help!
But, I have 1 big header of 2 pictures on top of each other, how do i put them into modx? Just copy it to the template path?
//edit: Solved the last question
Now my question is how do I change the [[++template_path]] variable?

I’m afraid I can’t help you there; I don’t do Revo. I don’t even know what [[++template_path]] is.
[[++template_path]] is a variable which holds the path of the template files, and I want to change that.
But when you can’t help me, I hope someone else is able to do so (:

Never seen that one before and doing a search in the settings for template and path they don’t bring up anything that represents a template path, where did you see the [[++template_path]] referenced ??

The thing is, MODx doesn’t limit where you can put stuff. Templates (the HTML) are stored in the database and are managed through the Elements=>Templates tab in the Tree. External files (css, js, images) can be put anywhere you want; you just need to have the paths in the template correct, as you would in any HTML page.

LOL. I forgot that page existed.
