      The easiest way is to embed it straight in to the template HTML: http://www.w3schools.com/flash/flash_inhtml.asp

        Dear Lammiko

        tks for the answer. I tired but it seems not working. In html it works without any difficulty, but when I try to let it works in modx something wrong happen. maybe because I have 1 javascript (called flashobject) 1 .swf and 1 .xml. . Pictures don’t appear.

        tks for any help

          Do you have a <base href="[(site_url)]"></base> in your template? If not link the files
          with a ... [(base_url)]assets/flash/foo.swf ...

            I’ve used this based ref too but it doesn’t work for me either! I’m trying this simple code:
            THIS IS A TEST PAGE TO TRY AND GET SWF FILES DISPLAYING CORRECTLY!<br>
            <br>
            FIRST ATTEMPT:

            <base href="[(http://www.ideal-country-property.com/assets/flash/icpmenu_es/)]">
            <object width="185" height="440">
            <param name="movie" value="menu.swf">
            <embed src="/menu.swf" width="185" height="440">
            </embed>
            </object></base>
            <br>
            <br>
            SECOND ATTEMPT:

            <object width="185" height="440"><param name="movie" value="menu.swf"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><embed src="/assets/flash/icpmenu_es/menu.swf" width="185" height="440" wmode="transparent"></embed></object><br />

            THIRD ATTEMPT (HTML taken from Flash generated file):<br>
            <!-- Flash Menu Labs  www.flashmenulabs.com -->
                <div id="FlashMenuLabs">
                    You need to upgrade your Flash Player or to allow javascript to enable Website menu. </br>
                    <a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer">Get Flash Player</a>
                </div>
                <script type="text/javascript">
                // <![CDATA[
                    var so = new SWFObject("menu.swf", "menu", "185", "440", "8", "#000000");
                    so.addVariable("page_code", "a_b_c");

                    so.addParam("wmode", "transparent");
                    so.addParam("scale", "noscale");
                    so.addParam("salign", "TL");
                    so.write("FlashMenuLabs");
                // ]]>
                </script>

            You can see the page here: http://www.ideal-country-property.com/es/test
            As you can see, it’s just not happening! Your help would be much appreciated.

              Don’t use:
              <base href="[(http://www.ideal-country-property.com/assets/flash/icpmenu_es/)]"></base>

              Use:
              <base href="[(site_url)]"></base>

              Then see in the output source code:
              <base href="http://www.ideal-country-property.com/"></base>

              smiley

                Thanks Mrhaw for the correction... you can tell I’m a newbie! However, still no joy with the SWF being played!

                  Hi GaneshXL,
                  Corrected the reference to the JS file and inputted your code on the test page (as the FIFTH ATTEMPT) but I still can’t get it to work.
                  Either I’m doing something incredibly wrong (very likely), I’m incredibly stupid (also very likely), or my ModX site doesn’t want to play ball.
                  Thanks for trying anyway.
                  Chris.

                    have you tried this?
                    base: "."

                    That always seems to help my flash files load correctly.
                      MySQL: 5.0.45
                      PHP: 5.2.6

                      cURL enabled
                      PDO enabled

                      Just wanted to thank you for all your efforts and ideas. I really can’t understand why it’s not working. Do scripts ever interfere with each other? That’s the only thing I can think of: that maybe our Real estate agency software scripts are somehow throwing a spanner in the works. Anyway, I’ve made three separate test pages for you guys to look at, implementing the different suggestions. SWFobject.js, flying.js are now both in the root directory if that helps any.
