Hi,
I have just set up MODX and have created a new template and got working with a new css file. Follwed MODx Wiki instructions.
I have a problem whereby if I create a new page and add some new content - when I go to the site only the old content is included i.i welcome to MODx.
If I use the Quick Edit to change the text it changes the text on all pages!
In the template I have used
<div id="content">
[*#content*]
</div>
Any ideas/suggestions on what I have done wrong.
Thanks, Claire

Make sure you publish your new documents. By default they are unpublished on creation.
Hi
I have msde the Cacheable default - No
But still have the same problem?

Most likely you need to do as Susan says (always!). In the manager, find the page in the document tree. Is it grayed out, italic? click on its icon and choose publish. Also, if needed, you can go to: Tools / Configuration / Site and set the site to automatically publish new docs.

[#*content*] will give the content block its own Edit button for QuickEdit in the front end. You can do the same for any TV.

Sometimes the buttons will mess up your styling, especially when you’re still developing the page. In the main QuickEdit toolbar there’s a checkbox for showing links that you can clear to get rid of them temporarily.
Is it [#*content*] or [*#content*] I have always used the later and have never tried the first option so maybe both work.
