Perhaps an errant copy-paste?

I don’t think so. All I did was delete the line #’s for the chunks and snippets.
... and now I just did a straight copy/paste leaving the line #’s in...
In QuickEdit, the TV "leftChunks" is available, so I guess it worked to some extent.
If I click "leftChunks" in QuickEdit, there isn’t anything except a checkbox, which does nothing whatsoever. I clicked it and hit "apply." I unclicked it and hit "apply". No difference. I take it there is supposed to be some option near the checkbox? Some text of some sort, perhpas?
Also, "rightChunks" does not show up in QuickEdit.

I don’t think checkbox TVs work in Quickedit at all. Try the manager.

I have no idea what I did to fix this problem other than the fact that I took some spaces out of the php Snippets and I took the &wrapper bit off the Snippet to add into the template. Now it works! I have two variables which I can check on or off (in QuickEdit!), each of which of course is nothing but curse words at this point, but I will replace them with useful html later.
Thanks for your level-headed response, rthrash. Still, despite everything worked out in the end, things must be drank and people must be killed. Goodnight.
I am left with one question, though:
Currently, all these TV’s do for me is show or hide a chunk of content.
I went into this tutorial thinking that TV’s would allow me to specify little sections of a template which the user could edit in QuickEdit without screwing up the whole entire layout.
Is this not possible?

How constant are the chunks you want updated from page to page in your site?

Ideally, I would like to create a tight template and just give people the option of updating an image here, a caption there and/or some body text without having to style a whole page worth of stuff using the WYSIWYG editor. Because, at this point without TV’s, the QuickEdit will open up the editor for the entire content section, which is a bit ridiculous for non-designers to use.

Then create multiple TVs assigned to multiple templates as needed: caption, content (for JUST the body text), feature_image, etc. Make them text, text area or rich text inputs. QE will work just fine on the front end in that instance.
