Sidebar div hide if empty. Use a TV? Help please (Solved)

Hi there, I have a site which on some pages will have a sidebar, some not. The sidebar div will have a background. If its empty, how can I hide it? Create a tv with html tag div? How would I hide it if empty? I prefer not to have different templates as sometimes the sidebar will be empty, sometimes it won’t and the end user won’t know enough to switch templates. I tried this call on the template, but the background is still showing even if empty...

Probably something simple, but I can’t figure it out...

Hmmm.Ok, So I made the TV with html output of div.
Called it with this...

Now it removes the div, which I wanted, but it removed it on a page that was not empty as well.

Yay...sorta! Ok, it gave me back the div that does have something in it, on the page where it should be empty, the div is gone...which is what I want, but now, the word Array is there. LOL. I’m going goofy. And blind I think.

do you want to tell us a bit more about your ’sidebar’ - TV? type,content?

I use If a lot! Really works well and if you combine it with chunks and TV’s the possibilities are endless!
