Even if it did work, it wouldn’t produce the format that I prefer, which is a.m. or p.m. (with stops, as I was taught when I was an editor). I use a custom PHx modifier in Evo to make a string for event start and finish times. I’m sure it can be adapted for Revo.
<?php
// eventTimesFormat
// format start and finish times
// input: &start = start time (24-hour); &end=end time
$output = NULL;
$startAmPm = NULL;
$endAmPm = NULL;
if (!empty($start)) {
$startTime = $start;
if ($start >= 1200) {
$startTime -= 1200;
$startAmPm = 'p.m.';
} else {
$startAmPm = 'a.m.';
}
$startTime = ($startTime < 100) ? $startTime + 1200 : $startTime;
}
if (!empty($end)) {
$endTime = $end;
if ($end >= 1200) {
$endTime -= 1200;
$endAmPm = 'p.m.';
} else {
$endAmPm = 'a.m.';
}
$endTime = ($endTime < 100) ? $endTime + 1200 : $endTime;
$endString = substr($endTime,0,-2) . '.' . substr($endTime,-2,2)
. chr(32) . $endAmPm;
}
if ($startAmPm == $endAmPm) {
$startAmPm = NULL;
}
if (!empty($start)) {
$output .= substr($startTime,0,-2)
. '.' . substr($startTime,-2,2)
. chr(32)
. $startAmPm;
if (!empty($end)) {
$output .= ' - ' . $endString;
}
} else {
if (!empty($end)) {
$output .= '(ends ' . $endString . ')';
}
}
return $output;
?>
