    Hi

The resource manager has stopped showing directories and images in a particular site where it used to work just fine. Specifically, when I go to add insert an image to a doc the Resource Browser is now completely empty, whereas there is plenty in the assets/images dir and this all used to be visible.
I want to upgrade the site but need to fix this first.

    The setup is as follows:
    Version: 0.9.6.3
    Database Version: 4.0.27-max-log
File Manager says assets and assets/images are writeable.
    Server host: 1and1

    Can anyone advise please?
    Thanks in advance

Check to make sure that the paths are set correctly. To do this go to the manager and in the main menu select Tools and in the sub-menu select Configuration. Under the "Interface & Features" tab check the "File Base Path" and the "File Browser URL" fields.

        Hi
These are fine, I believe, forgot to add this in my original post:

        File manager path: /abc/xyz/htdocs/
        Resource path: /abc/xyz/htdocs/assets/
        Resource URL: assets/

(it’s 0.9.6.3 so using ’Resource’ as opposed to ’File’)

        Thanks

The relevant directory permissions are as follows:
          assets/ 755
          assets/images/ 777
          assets/images/etc .../ 777

Here’s what the resource browser looks like now:

This used to work fine but has just stopped huh although I haven’t changed any of the obvious settings.

The site is hosted on a 1and1 server. The MODx File Manager path defaults to homepages/etc ... I ran a server info php file and it shows /homepages/ is prepended with /kunden/ so I tried /kunden/homepages/ in the File Manager and Resource Path but it made no difference at all.

Does anyone have any ideas please?
          Thanks

Check through FTP or from MODx file manager if you have files in your assets/images folder with accented characters or similar. If so, delete problematic files.

              Hi
The only exotically named named file at assets/images/ is .htaccess - otherwise all file names are totally standard.
I looked in every subdirevtory in /images/ but all is fine in there too.
              Thanks

Doubt it would make a difference but I’ve not come across an .htaccess file in the assets/images/ folder before.

Sorry, I meant that’s at server root, not at /images/ - nothing odd in there at all

                      Sorry for the delayed response

I can upload fine through the File Manager - tried via the resource browser and progress is stuck at 0%
