    Hello

Well, for start, i want to explain all the problems, maybe someone have any clue what to do.

    1. I created the database + user
    2. I access /install/ folder
    3. Choose language: english
    4. New Installation selected
    5. Database host:/Database login name:/Database password:
And where is the name of the database? How can i connect to a database if i dont know the name?

    - 1st problem: → Test database server connection and view collations.
When i press this, i receive Forbidden (seen with Firebug) and nothing happend.
I changed in manager\media\script\mootools\mootools.js the POST with GET and now when i press
→ Test database server connection and view collations. i receive:
    Connection to host: failed!

    That’s all i can say.
If you wonder if i have an outdated enviroment, well no, PHP 5, Latest MySQL.

        1. I created the database + user ON SERVER, BY CONTROL PANEL.
I don’t create the database using modx installer.

Yes in your control panel you can view the database you created, and get the name of the database.
You need the DB name, the username and the password of the user who has access to the DB.

What are you filling in as "hostname" ?
If the DB server resists on the same machine as the webserver try "localhost".

                    background-color:#FFFFFF;

When the DB connect (test...) was successfull you’ll get the option to enter your DB credentials.
