General Repository Items Support - MODX Community Forums <![CDATA[Support/Comments for TinymceWrapper]]>
I sought to see if it was possible to integrate TinyMCE lightly, that is, to allow the fullness of what is TinyMCE to be re-appreciated.
Please report problems and concerns; add functions, use-case scenarios etc. Open another topic for larger-than-life concerns.

Technically and hopefully, all RTE questions concerning this mere wrapper should be: how is it done in TinyMCE? not, how does MODx do it, or, how does this MODx TinyMCE do it.

This is a MODx Revolution wrapper plugin for the very latest of TinyMCE, not the ones that CMS's force you to use.
+Deactivate this plugin to use another RTE instead
+Set activateTinyMCE in the plugin's properties to false if you want to use with another RTE

-It uses CDN, so no archaic TinyMCE download to hack
-It uses the beautiful Responsive FileManager (native MODx' file browser not yet supported); it comes with the zip file. Each user can have own private upload folder
-It comes with beautiful TinyMCE skins
-You can turn off (permanently or temporarily on the fly) TinyMCE for any textarea or TV
-RichTVs, File and Image TVs supported
-TVs can be transformed even if RTE is disabled for the particular resource
-TVs can be transformed by this wrapper even if you choose to use another RTE altogether
-Uses pdoMenu (or anything you like) to populate the resource link list, so that you can use internal links with ease.
-The TinyMCE configs are in chunks, right before your eyes; no need to use a talisman to find or tweak anything
-These chunk configs can be used in the frontend with the awesome NewsPublisher (so yes, Responsive FileManager will take care of you in the frontend (Content, Rich/File/Image TVs), with no need for Manager credentials.]]> Fri, 08 Mar 2019 03:11:46 +0000
<![CDATA[GetResources: sortBy TV problem with numbers]]>
I’ve imported a site from EVO to REVO and i’m migrating Ditto to GetResources.

Snippets works fine, but I need to sort by TV from this values: 10, 9.5, 9, 8.5, etc.

Using DITTO: &orderBy=`numbers DESC` (this paremeters works fine)

Using GetResources: &sortbyTV=`numbers` &sortdirTV =`DESC` (9.5, 9, 8.5, 10) Number 10 is in the end of the list.

What should I do? (Sorry for my english)

<![CDATA[Support/Comments for GridClassKey 1.0.0-pl]]>

Install the package using Package Manager in Manager

If you are upgrading:

Key New Features:
Permissions to Action and Advanced Search buttons.
Children's Usergroups

  • Apply the GridClassKey Policy to the usergroup:
    Security > Access Controls
[Right Click, eg:] Editor > Update User Group
Context Access tab > Add Context
    Context: mgr
    Minimum Role: Member - 9999
    Access Policy: GridClassKey
  • Sudo always have them, so try it with non sudo user.

Change Log:

GridClassKey 1.0.0-pl (April 21, 2014)
- bugfix missed compress JS checking
- add gridclasskey.mgr_css to system settings
- [#73] fix custom output filters for TV fields
- [#42] Option to hide bulk action button and advanced search
- fix saving on CMP

Since GCK 1.0.0-rc5:

  • Because of additional parameter to the setting, "type", the previous version will have TV values parsed of raw values.
At this point, the script will auto-fix the existing fields' types.
Refresh the grid again to get the fixed parsed values.
  • If this TV has editor_type set, then when the user double clicks the cell, it will show the raw value instead, not the parsed value.

For example if the current page is /product/productcat/product1 then the starrating system will link to /product/productcat/product/producat/product1 once a user clicks to vote. Is there any where I can remove the duplication?

Many thanks to anyone that can help..

<![CDATA[ifEval edits to become PHP7 ready]]>
I am using the ifEval addon in my site and noticed that following an upgrade to PHP7 on the server - the pages where I use ifEval server 500 error and display a blank white screen. In the apache log - it points to the cache folder version of this plugin - so think its the fact that ifEval (due to its age) is not PHP7 compatible... ?

So would anyone be able to edit ifEval ( and make tweaks to make it PHP7 compliant/ready?

<![CDATA[How to use Analytics (and Google Analytics Dashboard)?]]> But ehm... I'm not sure how either of those two extras work and I can't really seem to figure it out.

This page: doesn't tell me where to put the "usage example" code - I'm guessing in the template (and according to a quick google search in the head somewhere), but it would be nice to know what best practices there are with this within the modx system (as well as if there's more I need to do). Also, which of the usage examples are recommended (I don't really know enough about this to figure out which parameters are important/relevant for my project)?

About the dashboard widgets: I've added them to the default dashboard, but nothing shows up yet - that might be because I haven't entered any info in the settings yet though (and can't until I can ask my boss what the password is for the relevant google account, so that I can set up the analytics account, but anyway...)

Also, in the "view details" part of the extra it says this:
To use this component the user needs to have "googleanalytics" permissions.
The administrator user needs to have the "googleanalytics_settings" permissions.
Are those just "oh, remember not to change this" or a "you need to set these permissions" thing? And if the latter, where and how (sorry, I haven't gotten that far in the modx guide yet, and a quick lookaround in the manager (under "manage>users") didn't really lead me to any answers)?]]> Fri, 20 Jul 2018 09:45:22 +0000

<![CDATA[Support/Comments for getImages]]>
This Snippet retrieves image files from a directory, processes them through a
template chunk and returns the results.

&folder string - The name of the image folder to search. optional. Default: assets/photos
&ext string - The extension(s comma separated list) of the images. optional. Default: *.jpg
&tpl string - The name of a Chunk used to format output. optional. Default: getImagse_Tpl
&limit integer - A number representing how many images to return. optional. Default: 6
&offset integer - A number representing where to start the next return. optional. Default: 6
&width integer - A number representing the width images to return. optional. Default: 150
&height integer - A number representing the height images to return. optional. Default: 100
&border integer - A number representing the border width. optional. Default: 0
&class string - A class name to pass. optional. Default: ''

Place the following snippet call into the page or chunk where you would like the images to
appear. You can use the helper Snippet getImagesFolder to pull a folder name from the URL.
When used with getFolders, getFoldersList, and getPage it becomes a complete Photo Gallery
solution that will grab all the images from a given folder structure and return Gallery pages
based on that folder structure.

&getImages_Ext =`*.jpg,*.png`
&getImages_Tpl =`getImages_Tpl`
&getImages_Limit =`6`
&getImages_Offset =`8`
&getImages_Width =`150`
&getImages_Class =`img`

All vars are optional

Release Notes
This sprang out of my rewrite of my "myGallery" Snippet. I was disappointed with the Gallery packages out
there as I wanted to be able to simply add images and thumbnails to a directory via FTP and have them show
up. It worked well but as I added more and more directories I found I had to create new pages and I'm far
too lazy for that. I wanted to be able to make a page by simply scanning the folder structure that was
uploaded via FTP and use the folder names as page names. I used my getFolders Snippet to get the folder
structure and my getFoldersList Snippet to create a menu from that folder structure. I then used my
getImagesFolder Snippet to pull the needed folder from the URL that the menu passed and then fed the results
through Jason Coward's great getPage Snippet and I was in business. It sounds far more complicated than it
is and it works like a dream. As always I would be grateful for any and all suggestions for improvements.

<![CDATA[Support/Comments for AjaxUpload]]> Description
Display an upload button for uploading multiple files with progress counter. The upload queue could be filled and saved by Formit hooks.

With this snippet an upload button for uploading multiple files with progress counter is generated. Works well in FF3.6+, Safari4+, Chrome and falls back to hidden iframe based upload in other browsers, providing good user experience everywhere.

All uploaded images and generated thumbnails are given random filenames to avoid hotlinking uploaded not published fullsize images. Automatic thumbnail generation for uploaded jpeg, png and gif files. Other uploaded files will get a generic icon.

With two Formit hooks the upload queue could be pre filled from Formit field value and saved into Formit field value.

This Extra is a Snippet-/jQuery-Wrapper for Andrew Valums great file upload script.
